NERC has a new approved clinic for training a licensed N.D. - Naturopathic Medicine Family Clinic in Seattle, Washington.  Dr. Tamara Cullen is the residency supervisor and the resident is Britt Deegan N.D.  Dr. Degan started her first year residency November 1, 2011. 

Dr. Deegan graduated from Bastyr University in June of 2011.  During her time at Bastyr, she received several merit scholarships, was a research assistant on a project evaluating the use of antioxidants with radiotherapy in oncology patients, was a student counselor and teaching assistant, and led a medical brigade to Ghana.   Her interests include pediatrics, women’s health, oncology and environmental medicine.

We also welcome the return of a NERC allied clinic in Portland, Oregon, Dr. Kip Kemple, rheumatologist.  Dr. Tori Hudson’s second year NERC resident, Elizabeth Axelrod, N.D. works part time at Dr. Kemple’s clinic, seeing rheumatology and primary care patients and assisting Dr. Kemple in patient care and research.

NERC has 10 fully participating clinics, 2 allied clinics and one interim clinic in its network for 2011-2012 for a total of 12 NERC residents.
